Born and raised in Maine, Andy Morgan has been capturing the world through a lens since childhood—starting with a 110 film camera during family vacations in the early 1980s. Over the years, his passion evolved alongside his gear, including Pentax and Minolta 35mm SLRs, an Olympus DSLR, Samsung NX mirrorless cameras, and today, the full-frame Sony a7R III.

In 2014, Andy left his traditional office job, sold almost everything he owned, and hit the road full-time in an RV—trading walls and routine for open skies and a life of creative freedom. He’s now spent over 25 years traveling across the country photographing the diverse beauty of the American landscape. During his years as a full-time RVer, he has lived in Florida, New Hampshire, Texas, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Maine, drawing inspiration from each region’s unique character and scenery.

In 2015, his path led to legendary photographer Clyde Butcher’s Big Cypress Gallery in Ochopee, Florida. Andy began workamping at the gallery, where he deepened his connection to Florida’s wild landscapes. In 2016, he earned runner-up honors in the Florida Wildlife Commission’s Python Challenge Photo Contest. The following year, the Butcher family invited Andy to begin displaying and selling his work in the gallery—a relationship that continues to this day.

In the summers of 2017 and 2018, Andy volunteered as a host camper at the Chihuahuan Desert Nature Center in Fort Davis, Texas. There, he continued to grow as a photographer with support and encouragement from the staff, several of his images are now sold as postcards in the gift shop. His photo of the iconic Mitre Peak was selected as the backdrop for the Nature Center’s mission statement display in their visitor center.

Andy currently displays his work at three locations: the Chihuahuan Desert Research Institute in Fort Davis, Texas; Luxe Frame Gallery in Naples, Florida; and Clyde Butcher’s Big Cypress Gallery in Ochopee, Florida.
