In photography, you always hear about the ‘golden hour’, not as much about the ‘blue hour’. The Blue hour is when the sun is below the horizon causing indirect sunlight to take on a blue shade. It can tint the sky an array of colors; red, orange, yellow and blue. On this particular night, the moon was lowering in the western sky shortly after sunset. I had attempted to do a large panoramic image by taking multiple images. However, when I began to place the individual images together, I found I preferred the single verticle image of the moon above the mountain peak.
