From the moment I arrived at the Chihuahuan Desert Nature Center in Fort Davis, Texas, I wanted to photograph these old bare trees on the property. I had many opportunities to photograph the tree under amazing West Texas sunsets. Oddly, I was covered in mosquitos while shooting. I never thought I would see so many mosquitos in a desert.
