This image comes from one of my workamping jobs at the Chihuahuan Desert Nature Center in Fort Davis, Texas. This hike was up over about a 5200′ overlook called Clayton’s Overlook. This section of the trail is my favorite. The view is down over an empty quarry in the desert. It’s almost dizzying standing on the edge. The view is amazing and there’s always a chance for a wildlife encounter. Be it a jackrabbit, aoudads, roadrunners or rattlesnakes.

Metal Prints: Preserving the photo by infusing dyes directly into specially coated aluminum sheets.
