Story Behind the Image – Mule Ears Cosmos
I most enjoy landscape and night photography. This is the iconic Mule Ears formation in Big Bend National Park. It’s a breathtaking scene to take in. I photographed it several times but never was happy with the images. I was lucky enough to be in the area for several months during peak Milky Way viewing time, I managed to capture the Milky Way above. Mars was also very visible the entire summer, you can see it between ‘the ears’ in this image. Far West Texas skies are some of the darkest in the country. I love all my images, but this might be my favorite capture thus far. I have several print options available for this image. Click here to see!
