Nothing like rolling out of bed to witness the sky on fire at the break of day. This shot was taken in the botanical gardens at the Chihuahuan Desert Research Institute. My summer work in 2017 gave me the opportunity to witness breathtaking desert sunrises virtually every morning. On this morning, I was photographing the amazing sunset to the east as it rose above the garden. (Always look behind you)…I turned around and behold a rainbow was forming in the west. On some photographing outings, every shot captured is a beauty. This was one such morning.
