Cypress Moon – ©2017
Big Cypress National Preserve, Florida
I was planning on capturing the full moon rising on a cool January day in The Big Cypress National Preserve. However, the entire day was grey and completely overcast. I thought I had very little chance of seeing anything in the night sky.
All afternoon and evening, I continued to step out of my RV looking at the sky. Each time the clouds looked like they were there for the night. Until around 7:30, I peaked out at the sky and saw the clouds just starting to break apart. I shouted, “Let’s Go!” We jumped into the truck and headed to a nearby scenic boardwalk in The Big Cypress National Preserve. Shortly after our arrival, the clouds had begun to break with the rising of the moon behind them. I set up my tripod as quickly as I could to capture the moon bursting through.

Metal Prints: Preserving the photo by infusing dyes directly into specially coated aluminum sheets. Because the image is infused into the surface and not on it, your images will take on an almost magical luminescence. The ultra-hard scratch-resistant surface is waterproof/weatherproof and can be cleaned easily – just avoid direct sunlight.
