The dark skies of West Texas are stunning. I photographed the Milky Way several times during our stay in the high desert. On this particular night, the evening started out with several clouds covering the scene. I waited and waited as the clouds slowly drifted away. I repositioned to a different location to find that the Milky Way was dropping perfectly between these two Century Plants. I love the desert sky.
