Arriving at this spot in Everglades National Park, this tree was the first thing that caught my eye. I knew immediately that I wanted to photograph it. I found a spot I liked and waited for the best moment. I loved the clouds streaking across the sky and the smaller tree hiding in plain sight in the background. ‘Tequesta’ is the name of the Native American Tribe that inhabited this area of Florida long before any settlers.
