I planned to visit Blowing Rocks Preserve near Jupiter, Florida. During my trip planning, I discovered that Blowing Rocks Preserve closed before sunset, and no pets are allowed on the preserve. Since my 12lb Italian Greyhound joins us on almost all of our trips, a trip to Blowing Rocks was out of the question on this day. Unfamiliar with the Jupiter area, my search on google introduced me to a park a few miles south called Coral Cove Park. Coral Cove closed at sunset, and although dogs were not permitted on the beach, they were not specifically banned from the park.
We arrived to find several photographers along the exposed rocks. Wedding and senior portraits seemed to be their subject. I walked the beach and rock formations to find some potential locations. I shot several scenes as the sun went down. I stayed past sunset to watch the full moon rise as well. Coral Cove Park was a beautiful park and beach. The Hobe Sound & Jupiter Florida area has become one of my favorite Florida locations. State Parks, National Wildlife Refuges, Coastal Parks & Preserves, Wetland Boardwalks….there are unlimited things to see.
