Description
Roseate Angel is an image I’ve wanted to capture for years. Photographing a Roseate Spoonbill with its wings fully extended from behind—perfectly symmetrical and glowing in the sun—is much harder than it looks. On a recent trip, the timing finally came together. The morning sun was bright and challenging to work around, but in the end it became part of the composition, creating a soft halo that enhances the delicate pinks of the feathers.
I especially love how the contrasting greens of the background help the wings stand out, almost giving the bird an angelic silhouette. This is one of those rare moments in nature where light, color, and movement align, and I’m thrilled to share it as a fine art print.
